About
I design for the products no one brags about at parties (energy bills, utilities, that sort of thing) and work to make them intuitive, approachable, and occasionally even fun.
Often times as designers we get boxed into being just pixel-pushers. I've had to learn to break free from that notion myself. And, in that process I've realized that a lot of the real design work happens outside the realm of our Figma canvas. It’s asking uncomfortable questions, pushing back when something doesn’t feel right, navigating opinions that don’t always align, and testing ideas to see what actually holds up in real use. Some things work. Some don’t. Both are part of the process.
My design philosophy is this: Good design is something that you don't even notice, because we definitely experience it when design is bad! But, great design is when your interaction becomes memorable, through the attention to detail and the little delights along the way.
While I care deeply about craft and strategy, I’m not just about wireframes and decks. I care about stories, whether that’s a customer journey, a video game narrative, or a painting that draws you into it's captured moment. I enjoy teaching, learning, experimenting, and finding creative sparks in the most mundane places.
If you’re here for design, you’ll find plenty of it. But you’ll also find curiosity, a bit of play, and a belief that even the most overlooked products deserve real attention.
